Jason Mraz @ Stadium Negara

Best concert ever (after Jay Chou)! Though I'm a bit disappointed that it ended so early... but it was still awesome!!

Me and Dan went to Stadium Negara at 3.30pm, having had experience before at the Jay Chou concert where people were queuing from 2pm++. Didn't want to take our chances as our tickets were free seating and supposedly sold out. Ended up being the first anyways after a slight confusion between Stadium Negara and Stadium Merdeka.

We got pretty good seats. I pitied the Pitt people who were all squashing each other with their sweaty bodies. =.= It was so darn crowded!!!

The Pit Area

The crowd at 7.30pm, 45minutes before the concert started.

So it started about 20minutes late. I think it maybe had something to do with the CONSTANT stream of people coming into the rock zone. Even when the lights went out I could still see the shadows of people streaming in.

Jason came onto the stage with a videocam and started shooting the crowd and the band members. That made the crowd go CRAZYYY!! HE then started off with a song from his new album, 'Make It Mine'.

Next was an old favourite, 'The Remedy' with 'Wonderwall' as the outtro. I liked the look on his face when everyone could sing the song with his accompaniment hahahahaha.

I noticed the 3 musketeers (trombone, trumpet, sax) were wearing what looks a lot like Malaysian football jerseys HAHAHAHAHAHA. Mr. Mraz then proceeded with a slow number... 'You and I Both'.

He got everyone singing along to that song too!

Then he started asking random things like..
"How many of you tonight are here with your best friend?"
"How many of you tonight are here with your best friend... just because you are maaadly in looove..?"

Obviously it had something to do with his next song ;D... 'If It Kills Me'

Ok you are probably thinking I recorded every song.. but I didnt't.. hahahaha..
He sang 'Life is Wonderful' next which I didn't record... his voice was wonderful!! Next up is 'Live High'. He intro-ed the song with some weird rhyming thing about "As a citizen of earth do you feel yourself.. ROTATING!" =S

I liked that his whole concert was really like.. unplugged. The rasta style music by the big black guy on the bongo... awesome stuff!! He then sang 'A Beautiful Mess' which I also did not record.

Moving on to ..' The Geek in the Pink'!!

Cute song!!! He likes to sway his hips a lot =.=!

Next up 'Dynamo Volition'! This was the awesome-ness performace! His rapping is super fast ma! His guitar skills!

Everyone was dancing along! So much fun!! He actually taught everyone to 'Get em' up way high and give the high five' and then 'get em' way down low and give the low dough' and then back up for the high ten... and the part where he goes "Your the best, your the best, your the best.. " HAHAHAHA People screaming like crazy.

Ofcourse after that superb performance , surely the next one must be top notch! Hahahaha... can u guess what it is? Obviously...

Infamous 'Im Yours'! Loved the rasta style incoherent words from Mr. Bongo!..and he looking so pleased when the crowd sang the whoah~oh~oh part ...and he getting us to do them incoherent sounds he is so good at...incoherent sounds like owaowaowa, didididudu ah ououou... u get what I mean!

"Every little thing... is gonna be alright!!!"~~~

Ok after that video I ran out of memory card space so the rest is with Dan.. more precisely was his encore of 'Lucky'!

It was an awesome song but I felt it would have been better without Penny Dai ruining it. T.T.. the crowd singing Colbie Caillat part was so much more better... I love Penny Dai but she can't sing with Jason Mraz!!!

He also did encore performances 'No Stopping Us' and 'Butterfly'. Then lots of crowd pleasers by interacting with his band and stuff.

He changed into an I Love KL shirt.

He closed by introducing his band and taking poloroid shots of them and throwing the photos into the crowd. He took one of himself!!! I WANT THAT PHOTO! The person who got that photo has got to be the luckiest Malaysian alive.

Oh I'm Loving Jason Mraz! Come back soon!!
